How Pricing Works

By WACD.ART · July 2026

People often ask me how I price a project before they even see a number — so here's an honest breakdown.

What goes into the price

Length. A 10-second product card is a different job than a 60-second character story. More seconds usually means more unique frames and movements.

Complexity. A simple collage transition costs less than a fully animated character with facial expressions and personality. The more moving parts, the more time it takes.

Revisions. Every project includes a set number of revision rounds. Extra rounds beyond that are billed separately — this keeps things fair for both of us.

Timeline. A short clip can be ready in a day, while a full animated short with voiceover and character animation can take several weeks. If you need a faster turnaround than the scope usually allows, that's something we can talk about — and it may affect the price.

Usage. How you plan to use the animation affects both price and terms. See below.

Types of usage

One-time use
The piece is used once or within a specific campaign — ads, a social post, local promotion. Standard pricing from the ranges below.
Unlimited rights
If you want to use the material without restrictions on time or placement, that's a separate, higher price discussed individually.
Revenue-generating content
If the piece itself becomes a source of ongoing income — ads on a monetized channel, paid access, resale — we agree on either a higher one-time price for full rights, or a revenue share.

This isn't bureaucracy for its own sake — it's how most creative industries work (photography, music licensing, illustration), and it protects both of us from misunderstandings.

Rough starting ranges

These are starting points, not fixed numbers — every project gets its own quote after a quick chat about what you need.

Short marketplace/product clip (5–10 sec)from €30
Reels/TikTok content (10–15 sec)from €50
Collage animation with concept (15–30 sec)from €100
Character animation with story (30–60 sec)from €200
Book trailer / podcast introfrom €80

How the process works

01
Brief — you tell me about the project, goals, and timeline
02
Concept — I send a direction or rough sketch for approval
03
Animation — the actual work happens here
04
Revisions — included rounds to fine-tune
05
Final delivery — polished file, ready to use

If your project involves long-term monetization or resale, we'll agree on that in writing before I start — a short written confirmation protects both of us.
